Palm Beach Photographic Centre is greatly indebted to the work of its dedicated volunteers throughout the year, without you the Centre could not operate. Volunteers are needed daily to help the Centre run. Below is a list of volunteer opportunities where support is needed:
Palm Beach Photographic Centre (PBPC) Museum Receptionist
Help open the doors of photographic appreciation to others!
While making eye contact, greet and direct all visitors who enter the lobby. Provide general information as needed. Answer phones and direct callers to appropriate extension. Solicit donations and safeguard donation box. General clerical tasks may be assigned. Minimum of 4 hour shifts. Attire: Business casual
We now offer credits to offset the cost of our workshops (up to 80%) for those who volunteer as a Museum Receptionist with us!

Administrative/ Graphic Arts/ Special Projects
Scheduled on an “as needed” basis, the Centre there are projects that may require several hours to several days of work. These projects are highly varied. Projects that range from data entry to graphic design require previous applicable experience. It is imperative that volunteers who take on these projects be willing to continue with the project until it is completed. Attire: Business casual to casual depending upon project
Exhibition Removal and Preparation
Between exhibitions, assist with removal of previous exhibit and exhibition storage. Prepare walls for upcoming exhibition by caulking, sanding, and painting walls. Attire: casual and closed toe shoes
Special Events
Frequently, the Centre hosts Opening Night Receptions, Fundraisers and Special Events. Volunteers are needed to help with set-up, breakdown, greeting guests, serving food and refreshments and other tasks. Students can expect to earn 4-6 hours per event. Attire: TBD
Volunteer Requirements & Responsibilities
- Arrive 10 minutes before shift commences and sign-in on the 2nd floor.
- When departing, sign-out on the 2nd floor.
- Attendance of a one hour orientation session & completion of a volunteer information form.
- Adhere to the dress code
- PBPC is a fragrance free facility.
- Note: Reliability is Key: We ask that volunteers respect out time and need for scheduled help. If for any reason you are unable to attend your scheduled volunteer hours please let us know a minimum of 72 hours in advance.
