You have successfully imported and organized your images in Lightroom and now you are ready to refine, correct, and transform your photos. The ever-evolving Develop Module in Lightroom Classic CC now offers more powerful tools than ever before.
In this three-hour seminar, we will present a methodical approach to getting the most out of the module as we work our way through the Basic Panel. Don’t be swayed by the designation “basic” as this toolset is powerful. Setting White Balance is of course always the first step. We will correlate the Tone tools and see how they line up with the sections of the histogram, achieving an understanding of how they work with precision.
The more powerful Presence panel now offers even more flexibility in enhancing or obscuring details in your image for practical or creative ends. It does not stop there as we delve into the Curves panel, which in many ways replicates the functionality of the Basic panel but with the ability to place precise points for manipulation or break the image down to its color channel components for powerful color correction. The HSL panel allows for specific control of color in the form of hue and saturation adjustments and both Curves and HSL allow for intuitive corrections by way of the targeted adjustment tool or TAT. The Detail panel focused on sharpening and noise reduction while the Transform panel can make amazing corrections in image perspective that can mimic high-end perspective control lenses.
This seminar will give you a firm foundation in making your images look the way you envisioned them or take you to places you never imagined. This class is for beginning to intermediate students. You should have at least 10 images captured in raw format and the latest edition of Lightroom Classic CC installed on your computer.
