In this workshop we will delve into the creative aspects of the Photoshop program.

While we learn how to retouch images, there is a more aesthetic side to the program.  We will explore so many possibilities that lie ahead: create brushes, make patterns, utlizing shapes, use layers and breaking images into channels, using filters in unique ways.

Old methodologies of MODES: grayscale, bitmap, RGB, LAB color, Multi Channel, along with new tools like Generative Ai.

We learn to resize pictures for printing, social media, and internet.

Laurence Gartel

 

Laurence Gartel is known as the FATHER of Digital Art for over 40-years. Gartel has been commissioned to produce work for Coca Cola, Philip Morris, NBA, Walt Disney, Gibson Guitars, Bang & Olufsen, ABSOLUT Vodka, “Think different” for Apple Computer and more. Gartel was the Official Artist for the 57th Annual Grammy Awards, Newport Jazz Festival, Monaco International Film Festival, and Feature of the 113th New York International Auto Show, and Oslo Motor Show in Norway. The Visionary of the 3D Print Conference and Keynote Speaker of the National Art Education Association (NAEA) in San Diego. Gartel’s show “Digital Titan” at the Palm Beach Photographic Centre was a “then and now” show of works from 1975 to 2018.

Refunds and Cancellations

For any workshops at the Centre, all payments will be refunded IN FULL if a workshop is canceled by us. If you decide to withdraw from this FOTOwalk, please inform us at least 3 days before the day of the FOTOwalk; we will refund your deposits, less a $15.00 withdrawal fee. Our obligations to the professionals who teach at the Centre dictate that no refund of payments will be made to you if you do not notify us of your withdrawal at least 3 days before the start of the FOTOwalk. However, in the event that a replacement is found to fill your vacant space, all payments, less the withdrawal fee will be refunded. No refund of fees will be made for no-shows or for withdrawal after the FOTOwalk begins. Membership fees are non-refundable.
