Over the past decade, Jim Abbott has found that the iPhone has become his camera of choice:  not just for family and travel shots, but for creative expression as well.  In this two-day workshop, Jim will share his enthusiasm for this increasingly powerful photographic tool, showing you how to get the most from the iPhone camera, and concentrating on how you can transform the images you capture — right on your phone!  

Jim will identify many of the most useful apps for post-processing, and will help you master several photography apps that he finds to be simple to use, and dramatic in effect.   Learn apps that will enable you to make your pictures a further expression of your creative energy and vision: adding painterly filters, creating vintage or alternative process effects, and adding text in a variety of fonts and colors.  Jim will also focus on work flow and digital organization, to help you keep and display what you create.”

Biography

Jim Abbott was trained at the Maryland Institute, College of Art, and has exhibited his photographs nationally. When the iPhone was introduced, he began to use it, not only as a camera, but also as a post-processing tool. He has developed a passion for the power and convenience of the device — as a camera, as a means of enhancing images for exhibition, and as an exciting path to artistic self-expression.
