This workshop designed for photographers who know the basics of iPhone shooting and processing but want to extend their knowledge into the exciting world of advanced editing, stylizing and output, all done in the palm of their hand.
From discovering the best ways to shoot and edit Raw files, to using Layers and Masks, this workshopwill amaze you with new and better ways to photograph, whether at home or when traveling. From straight landscapes to painterly renderings, you’ll discover the hidden power your iPhone brings to your photographic life!
Classroom sessions combined with local field trips will let you exercise your new skills to produce iPhone photos you’ll be proud to display, share and sell.
Eager iPhone Artists should bring an iPhone Xs or later to the workshop. Here are a few things to keep in mind as you prepare:
Participants will receive a Preparing for Classletter with additional instructions a couple of weeks before the workshop begins.
Dan Burkholder has a long history of looking beyond the photographic horizon to predict, explore, teach and exhibit the next great thing in imaging. His book, iPhone Artistry was the universe’s most comprehensive and fun how-to book for iPhone photographers. His poignant monograph, The Color of Loss, intimately documented the flooded interiors of post-Katrina New Orleans.
Dan earned his B.A. and master’s degrees in Photography from Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California. His platinum/palladium and inkjet prints are included in private and public collections internationally. Dan’s website is www.DanBurkholder.com.
For workshops at the Centre, all deposits will be refunded IN FULL if a workshop is canceled. If you decide to withdraw from a workshop, please inform us at least 30 days before the first day of class; we will refund your deposits, less a $100 withdrawal fee. Our obligations to the professionals who teach at the Centre dictate that no refund of payments will be made to you if you do not notify us of your withdrawal 30 days before the start of the workshop (120 days for travel workshops). In the event that a replacement is found to fill your vacant space, all payments, less the withdrawal fee will be refunded. No refund of fees will be made for no-shows or for withdrawal after the workshop begins. Membership fees are non-refundable.
