In Person – Lightroom Classic CC Master Class with John Reuter
Lightroom has evolved over the last decade to be a primary choice for photographer’s image editing needs. Its focus is on the specific tools photographers need, setting it apart from Adobe’s companion program Photoshop and its broader toolset for designers and graphic artists. The most recent updates have added significant AI driven tools for selecting and masking that rival Photoshop’s pixel driven tools. In this three-day workshop we will explore the entire workflow of Lightroom but with an emphasis on the powerful tools in the Develop Module. What sets Lightroom apart from the Adobe Bridge/Camera Raw workflow is that Lightroom is a database which offers powerful tools for importing, organizing, and exporting your images. We will begin there to establish a strong foundation for processing and enhancing your images. Our main emphasis will be the Develop Module, which has added more and more tools for perfecting your images. We will establish a workflow beginning with the Basic tab, setting our color balance, evaluating the histogram, and specifically working with the four key tonal areas, highlights, shadows, blacks, and whites. We will explore when and how to use Dehaze, Vibrance, Clarity, and Texture to transform our raw files into finished photographs. From here we will explore beyond the basics with a look at Curves, the Hue, Saturation and Luminance panel, Color
