Virtual – Capturing the beauty of the Milky Way and the Night Sky with Lewis Kemper
Night sky and Milky Way images present many challenges for photographers. There are 3 ways to capture the night sky. A single image at high ISO and relatively short exposures; multiply images at very high ISO and short exposures, which then get stacked in special software; and tracking, using a mechanical device to move the camera in sync with the stars, allowing for long exposures at low ISO. In this class Lewis will explain each technique and talk about their advantages and disadvantages. Lewis will also provide you with images taken with each method for you to process. He will be demonstrating post processing techniques he has learned over the years, saving you much time and experimentation. This class will require Mac users to purchase Starry Landscape Stacker software (available on the App store for around $40); and for Windows user to download the free software Sequator.
