VIRTUAL FOTOcamp 2020
Our Virtual FOTOcamp sessions offer three levels of instruction "Level I": Introducing students to the basics of photography. It will cover a little history and the basics of using a DSLR camera. Instruction will focus on the exposure triangle which covers aperture mode, shutter mode, and ISO settings. "Level II": Building on the foundation of "Level I," we teach more intermediate and advanced skills. Students will learn advanced camera functions and post-processing using Photoshop and Lightroom. Virtual Master FOTOcamp: For our advanced students who wish to master the skills they have already acquired, we are pleased to announce our Virtual Master FOTOcamp classes. Some of the best Master photographers in the field of photography and digital art will inspire and teach you the skills and techniques they use that sets their art work apart. Our professional instructors, will present photography in a fun and engaging way according to each FOTOcamp students degree of experience and personal interest. For Youth Ages 10 - 17 July 13 to 17 July 27 to 31 Cost $395.00 Welcome to the very first GARTEL Virtual Photo Summer Camp at the Palm Beach Photographic Centre. We are embarking on new times and new, more enjoyable ways of learning. Connect with new friends and tap into the future of photography with this workshop! Our goal is to provide a better understanding of creating and handling digital images while having fun. In 2020, we witnessed the launch of a new manned rocket to the International Space Station in great detail. Not only did this captivate us, but watching this historical innovation in real-time allows us to dream. These "virtual experiences" help us advance our thoughts and, ultimately, our creativity. In this virtual camp, Laurence Gartel helps students explore Photoshop in artistic ways. The majority of the program will be spent learning different techniques in Photoshop, however, students will investigate other apps to "merge, mix, and mash." Students will start by creating their own identifying emojis. These will help students have a unique virtual identity when socializing and learning with other students online. As students learn Photoshop and learn to communicate about their work, they'll have the creative freedom to manipulate images in fun ways. Students will learn what makes an image engaging. Students will investigate various programs/apps with crazy capabilities on mobile devices and learn to save these images to work with them further in Photoshop. Images will be distributed to the group so all the students can work on them at the same time. We are exploring exciting new possibilities in the summer of 2020. Don't miss out!
