Take Control of the Dark- Night Photography
Take Control of the Dark- Night Photography with Lewis Kemper December 5 - 7, 2019 Members: $695 | Non-Members: $745 Night photography requires some special gear - tripod, camera, remote shutter release or intervalometer, bubble level, white balancing tools, and/or CamRanger. Lewis will demonstrate these tools and talk about techniques for making night images that include shooting stars, cityscapes, HDR, high ISO, light painting, creating motion with zoom, panoramas and more. Besides just taking pictures, we will work in the digital darkroom learning how to best bring out the nuances of night images. Learn how to make stars pop, keep the highlights of clipping, do local white balance corrections and more. Lewis will also cover taking and processing of realistic looking night HDR images and how to process HDR panos. The instructor may adjust the schedule to allow for earlier morning and/or late evening shoot times; those changes will be announced during class. Don’t ever be afraid of the dark again! Bio LEWIS KEMPER is widely recognized as a photographer, writer, and instructor, lecturing throughout the United States. He currently is a Contributing Editor to Outdoor Photographer.
