Craig Blacklock’s nudes begin with the landscape, with the nude figure serving as a conduit for the viewer to enter into and experience the landscape in a more intimate and tactile way. His first major collection of nudes, done between 1996 and 2002 were compiled into his award-winning book, A Voice Within — The Lake Superior Nudes, in which his wife, Honey was the sole model. She also provided an essay for the book. Craig’s other large collection of nudes is from Lake Powell, created over several years, and has not yet been published.
