Strobe lights, Hot lights, Fluorescent lights, Sunlight, Cloudy light, Lamp light, window light… sometimes it can all get a bit overwhelming! This action packed three days will demystify it all. There are some very simple basics that are at the root of all lighting solutions. Ross will teach you the “rules” by example, and then you will practice, practice, practice. We will spend a lot of time outside on location learning to really see the light. Ross will teach the simple techniques to understand various “light shapers”. There will also be some time in the studio to apply the basics we learned outside. This session will illustrate that it does not matter what delivers the light …but the shape, size, and distance of that light that gives you fantastic results. If you want to greatly improve your understanding and application of lighting, this is the weekend for you! So you can stay focused on the lighting, all students should have a basic understanding of the operation of their cameras. A digital SLR will help, but Ross will make it work for any camera you bring.
